We're
emphasizing real life scenarios to develop real world tactics
and shooting skills that will benefit you at the range and in
your home.
Prerequesties: (only
one from the following list must apply)
- Completion of NRA Basic Pistol Course
- Active member in some type of pistol event
or range
- Endorsement of Select-Fire Inc.
- Endorsement of certified firearms instructor
- Satisfactory completion of a pre-qualification
exam.
Equipment Prerequesties:
- Semi-auto pistol in 9mm or larger caliber
- No competition type guns
- No lasers
- No optics
- No 1911 frames
- Strong arm holster w/retention device
- 4 mags and mag pouch for 2 magazines
- Flashlight
- Knee pads
- 10 dummy rounds (Neon Colored)
- 1000-1500 Rounds Ammo
- BDU Pants (Loose pockets are essential)
- Eye and Ear Protection
- Baseball hat

Course Curriculum (tentative)
- Safety
- This will be of the utmost importance. Anyone
who consistently disobeys the safety rules established by Select-Fire
will be asked to leave and forfeit course tuition.
- Range/Handgun safety protocols will be covered
fully during the first hours of the course.

- Administrative loading/unloading
- Tactical/Speed reloading
- Grip & Draw to ready position
- Draw, Fire, Down & Scan, Reholster sequence
- Clearing stoppages
- Cover/Concealment
- One hand shooting
- CQB tactics
- Incapacitation techniques
- Flashlight/Handgun usage
- Low light combat shooting
- Multiple threat engagement
- Shooting platform
- Live Fire Shooting Drills on Select-Fire's
own Shooting Simulator.
